Organic Basmati Rice with Tamari Sauce and Butter

1 large onion

2 vegetable bouillons

2 tablespoon olive oil

12 cups water

6 cups rice

1/2 cup of butter

1/2 cup Tamari Sauce

1/2 cup Sesame Seeds

1/2 cup Italian Parsley

Serves: a class of 22 children and 2 teachers

Mince onion and saute with the 2 bouillons cubes, mashing cubes with the back of a wooden spoon, until onions are soft.  Add rice and cook, stirring frequently to coat rice well, about 2 minutes.

Add 12 cups of water, bring to a boil. Stir, reduce heat to low, cover pot, and cook until rice is tender, approximately 45 minutes.

Add butter to the finished rice. Stir the butter into the rice using a fork to avoid breaking the rice, which can cause the rice to become mushy. Add the Tamari Sauce.

Then sprinkle with parsley and seeds. Serve immediately.

Enjoy it!
